Digi International Promotes Jon Nyland to Vice President of Manufacturing Operations

MINNEAPOLIS, April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Digi International Inc. (Nasdaq: DGII) today announced that it has promoted Jon A. Nyland to vice president of manufacturing operations, effective immediately. In his new role, Nyland will be responsible for all aspects of the company's manufacturing activities in Minnesota and Europe, based in Dortmund, Germany. He will report to Douglas J. Glader, senior vice president of manufacturing operations and interim chief operating officer.

"Jon has been one of the principal drivers and innovators in developing Digi's strong manufacturing operations for the past six years," said Glader. "His solid background and expertise make him well suited for his expanding responsibilities as the company moves forward with its global business strategies."

Nyland, 35, joined Digi in l993 as manager of manufacturing and test engineering and was most recently director of manufacturing operations. He has also held engineering and consulting positions with ITT Corp. in Minneapolis; Minnesota Technology in Alexandria, Minn.; and Turtle Mountain Corp. in Dunseith, N.D.

Nyland is a member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers, the Surface Mount Technology Association, and APICS, a national materials association.
