Digi International Promotes Doug Glader to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

MINNEAPOLIS, April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Digi International Inc. (Nasdaq: DGII) today announced that it has promoted Douglas J. Glader to executive vice president and chief operating officer, effective immediately. He was formerly senior vice president of manufacturing operations and interim chief operating officer.

"Doug's contributions have had a major impact on Digi's strong manufacturing operations for the past five years," said John P. Schinas, chairman of the board and interim president and chief executive officer of Digi International. "The company and its management team will benefit greatly from his expanded leadership role as we move forward with our strategies for growth and profitability."

Glader, 55, joined Digi in l994 as director of manufacturing and operations for the company's business unit in Sunnyvale, Calif. He was promoted to vice president of the company's operations in l995 and then promoted to his senior vice president position in l997. He assumed the responsibilities as interim COO in February l999.

Glader, with more than 25 years' experience in operations management, has held management positions with Memorex Corporation, Measurex Corporation, Altus Corporation, and Direct Incorporated, all in California's Silicon Valley.

He also co-founded and was vice president of operations for Greyhawk Systems, Inc., Mountain View, Calif., a manufacturer of electronic imaging hardware and software.
