Digi International Names New Controller and Human Resources Director

  MINNEAPOLIS, June 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Digi International Inc.
(Nasdaq: DGII) today announced that Mark D. Fandrich has joined the company as
Controller. In his new position, Fandrich will manage the company's Accounting
and Finance Departments which include general accounting, credit, financial
and cost analysis, budget and reporting management. He reports to S. (Kris)
Krishnan, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
    Digi also named Tracy Roberts Director of Human Resources.  Roberts, who
also reports to Krishnan, is responsible for all areas of Human Resources
worldwide including employee training and development, corporate staffing and
development, compensation and benefits, as well as facilities services.
    "These new additions to the Digi team provide a wealth of experience and
knowledge that will help us carry out our strategic plans for continuing to
improve and grow our business," said Krishnan.  "We look forward to their
contribution and participation in the company's success."
    Fandrich, a Certified Public Accountant, was most recently Director of
Finance at Larex, Inc. in St. Paul, Minn., and served as Manager of Financial
Operations for the Enterprise Area at Andersen Consulting, LLP, in Minneapolis
before that.  He also held financial management positions with Tracker
Software, Inc. and Valspar Corporation, also in Minneapolis.
    Roberts, who brings more than 15 years' experience in human resources
management, was formerly Director of Human Resources at Novartis Nutrition
Corporation in Minneapolis. During her career, she spent more than 10 years in
the high tech industry at Cray Research, where she held a variety of HR
management positions.
