MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Digi International Inc. (Nasdaq: DGII) today announced that John P. Schinas, chairman of the board, will serve, effective immediately, as interim president and chief executive officer, the position vacated by Jerry A. Dusa, who is resigning as president and CEO, effective immediately. Until the end of the month, Dusa will continue to serve on the company's board of directors, and act as a consultant to the company.

Douglas J. Glader, senior vice president of Manufacturing Operations will serve as interim chief operating officer, effective immediately.

S. (Kris) Krishnan, formerly vice president of Worldwide Finance and Corporate Development, will serve as senior vice president of Finance, Administration and Accounting and chief financial officer. He succeeds Sven A. Wehrwein who has resigned, effective immediately.

The company has engaged a national search firm to conduct the CEO search with a committee of the board of directors. The company's senior management team will continue to execute the company's l999 business plan. "We appreciate Jerry and Sven's contributions to the company," said Schinas.
